in. relation to the national road lying within Allegany and
Garrett counties, and to conatitute such part of the same as
lies within the limits of said counties respecting public roads
of said counties, and to enact the following in lieu thereof.
Which was read a first time and referred to the Committee
on the Judiciary.
Also, returned
A bill entitled an Act to prevent stock from running at
large in Talbot county.
Endorsed: "Reported unfavorably and report adopted."
Also,
A bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of money to
aid the high school established by Crisfied District, in Som-
erset county, to be known hereafter as the Lankford High
School,
Endorsed: "Reported unfavorably and report adopted."
The Secretary of the Senate returned the following bills :
A bill entitled an Act to protect persons traveling on the
highways in Harford, Cecil, Howard, Washington, Balti-
more, Frederick and Montgomery counties, when the same
crosses any railroad track.
Endorsed: "Indefinitely postponed."
Also,
The bill entitled an Act to change the dividing line be-
tween the 6th and 12th election districts of Prince George's
county.
Endorsed: "Reported unfavorably and report adopted."
Mr. Fenton moved a suspension of the rules, and that the
House proceed to the consideration of the following order
submitted on Thursday last:
Ordered, That the Chairman of the Committee on Claims,
pay to W. F. Busick, Clerk to the Committee on Claims, the
sum of two hundred dollars.
The question then- recurring upon concurring in the mo-
tion,
