Frederick District, No. 2, to be called "Tuscarora District, or
Election District, No. 12,"
Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.
The bill entitled an Act to authorize the County Commis-
sioners of Harford county, in their discretion, to levy a sum
of money on the assessable property of said county, for the
support of Mary Ann Hopkins, an aged, indigent and. de-
mented woman of said county,
Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading,
The bill entitled an Act to provide for the compensation to
the State's Attorney's of the several counties of this State, for
services rendered as counsel for the Officers of Registration,
as required by the Act of 1874, chapter 490,
Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.
The bill entitled an Act to authorize the County Commis-
sioners of Carroll county to adjust and settle the amounts due
Jeremiah Robertson, Trustee of John Smith, John Smith's
children, and George Kane, for county taxes paid in error;
and to authorize the Comptroller of the Treasury to settle the
State taxes on the basis adopted by the County Commission-
ers, and certified by them,
Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.
The bill entitled an Act to authorize the County Commis-
sioners of Queen Anne's county, in their discretion, to pay a
sum of money not exceeding three thousand dollars, to erect
a bridge over Wye River, in said county,
Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.
The bill entitled an additional supplement to an Act, en-
titled an Act to incorporate the Trustees of the Particular
Baptist Church at Black Rock, in Baltimore county,
Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.
Mr. Robinson, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported
favorably,
The Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact Sec-
tion 79, and sub-section 2, of Article 2, of the Code of Public
Local Laws, title "Anne Arundel County," sub-title "County
Commissioners," as amended and re-enacted by chapter 485,
