The Secretary of the Senate delivered the following mess-
age :

March 30, 1876.
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates:
We respectfully ask your Honorable Body to return to the
Senate for further consideration, the House Joint Resolutions,
directing the Attorney-General t) proceed at once to enforce
by legal process, the payment to the State, out of the net
profits of the Washington Branch Railroad, for the six months
ending September 30th, 1875.

Mr. Donaldson submitted the following message:
BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES,
March 30, 1876.
Gentlemen of the Senate:
We have received your message asking asking a return of
the Joint Resolutions, directing the Attorney-General to
proceed at once to enforce by legal process, the payment to the
State, out of the net profits of the Washington Branch Rail-
road, for the six months ending September 30, 1875, and
herewith return the same.

Which was read, assented to, and sent to the Senate, and
The Resolutions named therein, returned therewith.
The Secretary of the Senate returned the following bill :
The bill entitled an Act to repeal the Act passed at the
January Session, 1872, chapter 254, entitled an Act to au-
thorize and empower the County Commissioners of Anne
Arundel county to appropriate a sum of money to the capital
stock of the Annapolis and North Severn Bridge Company,
and to re-enact the same with amendments.
Endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays, with proposed
amendments."
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.
Section 2, line 2, strike out the words "and directed."
Section 6, line 6, strike out "or," and insert "and."
Amend Section 7, by adding : "Provided, that the County
Commissioners shall levy no more than eight thousand dol-
lars any one year."
