1364 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Mar. 29,
The bill entitled an Act to release J. O. Raisin, of Queen
Anne's county, from the obligation of a forfeited recogni-
zance,
Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.
The bill entitled an Act to pay to Henry Esoana, the sum
of one hundred and thirteen dollars and four cents, for balance
doe him for work in the Comptroller's office, per certificate
of the Comptroller and President of Chesapeake and Ohio
Canal Company,
Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.
The Senate bill entitled an Act to pay Philip W. Downs
and George S. Russurn, a sum of money for services rendered
the State, as counsel in the case of United States, against Wil-
liam H. Whitley, an officer of registration, of the State of
Maryland, for the first election district of Caroline county,
Was read a third time and passed by yeas and nays as fol-
lows:
