will be conducted by most experienced and competent parties.
The undersigned may not at the late day, at which the ap-
propriation was made, and with the means it affords, be able
to do on this occasion all they could desire—bur, should your
Honorable Body grant the request now made, there will be a
collection that will compensate for many unavoidable short
comings.
