Mr. Waters, of Carroll, presented the petition of 60 citi-
zens of Westminster District, Carroll county, to create an ad-
ditional Justice of the Peace for that district.
Which was read ana referred to the Carroll delegation.
Mr, Riggs presented the petition of E. F. Coblentz, H.
Zittle, and twenty others, citizens of Maryland, representing
that the "Maryland Agricultural College and Model Farm,"
has accomplished nothing for the advancement of agriculture
notwithstanding the large sums of public money donated to
it, and praying that the State buy out the private interest in
said Institution and place-the same in charge of a Commis-
sion or Board of intelligent and practical farmers to make it
State Farm School, with power to remove it from its present
site.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on Agri-
culture.
Mr. Riggs presented the petition of Joshua Delantor and
40 other citizens of Frederick county, praying for a change
in the Game Law of said county.
Which was read and referred to the Frederick delegation.
Mr. Waters, of Carroll, presented the petition of B. H.
Sodd, M. D., asking the passage of an Act regulating the
practice of medicine, obstetrics and surgery in this State.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on the
Judiciary.
Mr. Rutledge presented the petition of Eveline Ayres ask-
ing for a pension as a widow of a soldier of 1812.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on Pen-
sions.
Mr. Cockey presented the petition from Elfred Price, Thad-
deus White, Dr. Win. Denny and twenty others, to amend
the Oyster Law, preventing dredgers from scrapiag from
Kent Point to Love Point, in Queen Anne's county, a dis-
tance of four hundred yards from the shore.
Which was read and referred to Messrs. Cockey, Neal and
Mattingly.
Mr. Rutledge presented the petition of Thos. Carman, of
Harford county, asking for a pension as a soldier of 1812.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on Pen-
sions.
