The vote by which said bill was rejected for want of a Con-
stitutional majority, was reconsidered.
Mr. Hoblitzell moved that the further consideration thereof
be postponed, and said bill be made the order of the day for
Friday next.
Decided in the negative.
On motion of Mr. Vandiver,
The vote by which the bill entitled an Act to appropriate
a sum of money to aid the High School, established by Cris-
field District, in Somerset county,
Was rejected for want of a Constitutional majority was re-
considered.
The House then proceeded to the consideration of unfin-
ished business.
The bill entitled an Act to provide for the assessment and
taxation of the property of Railroad Companies in this State,
for county and municipal purposes, and to repeal all laws or
parts-of laws inconsistent with the provisions of this Act,
Being under consideration,
The question recurred upon the following amendments
proposed by the Senate.
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.
In theSrd line of Section 1, after the word "State," insert
workins; their roads by steam;'' at end of 10th line of.Sec-
tion 1, after the word "State," add, Provided that no extra
assessment shall be made, and no extra or special tax shall
be levied or collected on any bridge or bridges over streams,
or any tunnel forming any part of the road-way of any rail-
road or railroads in this State, it being the meaning and in-
