NEGATIVE—None.
Said bill was then sent to the Senate.
A bill entitled an Act to change the name of the District
of Columbia, Upper Marlboro' and Hills Landing Turnpike
Company, to that of the District of Columbia and Upper
Marlboro' Turnpike Company,
Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.
The bill entitled an Act to repeal the Act passed 1874,
chapter 276, relating to Kent Narrows, and all preceding
Acts relating thereto, and to re-enact as follows.
Said bill being upon a second reading,
Pending which,
Mr. Dodson moved that the further consideration thereof
be postponed, and that the bill be referred to the Committee
on the Judiciary, and be printed.
Decided in the negative.
Mr. Neal submitted the following amend ment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
Sec. 2. Insert between the word "and" and words "Queen
Anne's" the word "of," and between the word "counties,"
(immediately following,) and the wor'd "shall" the word
"severally," and between the words "bridge" and "in," the
following: "And the approaches thereto, for a distance of
one hundred yards."
Which was adopted.
Mr. Koons submitted the following motion :
That the bill under consideration be referred to a Special
Committee to consist of the delegations of Queen Anne's, Tal-
bot and Dorchester, with instructions to report to the House
to-morrow at the evening session.
The question recurring upon concurring in the motion,
On motion of Mr. Koons,
The yeas and nays were ordered.
