Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Harford County, " sub-title
"Havre de Grace, " Section 281 having been amended by
Chapter 63 of the Acts of 1933, relating to the qualifications
and registration of voters in the town of Havre de Grace.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sections 271 and 281 of Article 13 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Harford
County, " sub-title "Havre de Grace, " Section 281 having been
amended by Chapter 63 of the Acts of 1933, be and they are
hereby repealed and re-enacted with amendments to read as
follows:

271. All citizens of the United States above the age of
twenty-one years, who have resided in said city not less than
one year next preceding a municipal election, and who are
eligible to register in any State and County election held
under the provisions of the Public General Laws of Maryland,
and whose names shall appear upon the list of registered
voters of said City, as hereinafter provided, shall be the
qualified voters of said City, and as such shall be entitled to
vote at any election held under the provisions of this Charter.

The said qualified voters shall on the first Monday in May,
in the year 1903, and every two years thereafter, elect a Mayor
to serve for two years and until the qualification of his suc-
cessor, and the said voters shall on the first Monday in May
in the year nineteen hundred and three, at the same time and
place elect six members of the City Council, three of whom
shall be chosen by lot as hereinafter provided to serve for two
years and until the qualification of their successors, and three
of whom shall be chosen in like manner to serve for one year
and until the qualification of their successors, and every year
after the election last aforesaid, the said qualified voters upon
the first Monday in May shall elect three members of the City
Council to serve for two years and until the qualification of
their successors, to succeed those three whose terms are next
to expire, the said choice by lot shall take place at 12 o'clock,
noon, on the Tuesday next succeeding the first Monday in May,
1903, at the usual place for holding the meetings of the City
Council, and shall be conducted by the Supervisors of Elec-
tion in the presence of the Mayor and Council, and the Mayor
and Council elect or such of them as choose to attend.

281. On the second and third Mondays and Tuesdays in
April, in the year nineteen hundred and thirty-seven, the City
Clerk shall sit at the Council Chamber between the hours of
nine o'clock A. M. and seven o'clock P. M., for the purpose of
registering the legally qualified voters of the City of Havre
de Grace as the same are now defined by Section 271 hereof.
