SEC. 2. And, be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1937.

CHAPTER 357.
AN ACT to add a new sub-title and six new sections to Article
19 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (Flack's
Edition 1930) title "St. Mary's County", said new sub-
title to be known as "Licenses" and said new sections to
be known as Sections 172A, 172B, 172C, 172D, 172E and
172F, to follow immediately after Section 172, providing
for the licensing in St. Mary's County of Slot machines,
claw machines, pin ball games and other similar devices;
providing for the selection and disposition of the license
fees therefor and for the repeal of inconsistent laws and
further providing for penalties for the violation of the
terms of the Act.

CHAPTER 358.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Sections 1,
2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10 and 11 of Article 58A of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1924 Edition), title "Loans—Petty", and
to add two new Sections to said Article, one of said new
Sections to be known as Section 10A and to follow imme-
diately after Section 10 of said Article, and the other of said
new Sections to be known as Section 16A and to follow im-
mediately after Section 16 of said Article; to provide for
the exercise by the Commissioner of Loans of all the rights,
powers, duties, obligations and functions heretofore con-
ferred by said Article upon the Bank Commissioner; to
provide for the payment of increased license fees by licensees
under said Article; to provide for the rendering by licensees
under said Article to the Commissioner of Loans of such
annual reports as the Commissioner of Loans may require
and giving such information relevant to the business and
operations of said licensees as the Commissioner of Loans
may prescribe; and to prohibit the taking by licensees of
any specific lien upon real property or upon chattels real
to secure the repayment of any loan and declaring any such
lien so taken to be void.
