4. For the acquisition of the corner lot facing Wilson Lane
and adjoining the Bethesda Elementary School so as to en-
large the school grounds—$5, 000. 00.

5. For grading and ground treatment of the grounds of
the Bethesda-Chevy Chase Senior High School and the Mont-
gomery Blair Senior High School so that these grounds may
be suitable for use as athletic fields—$36, 500. 00.

6. For grading and ground treatment of the school grounds
at Damascus which are at present, useless—$2, 000. 00.

7. For the addition of six classrooms and for the improve-
ment of sanitary conditions at the Gaithersburg school so as
to eliminate as far as possible the use of portable buildings—

$75, 000. 00.

8. For the construction of three new classrooms at the
Sherwood Elementary School—$30, 000. 00.

9. For the addition of two classrooms at the Rockville
Elementary School and for completion of the grading of the
grounds surrounding the school building—$25, 000. 00.

10. For the addition of three new classrooms and for the
improvement of sanitary conditions at the Poolesville school—
$40, 000. 00.

11. For the reconstruction of the colored schools at Mar-
tinsburg, Sugarland, Sellman, Damascus, Wheaton, Mount
Zion and Unity at an approximate cost of $2, 000. 00 each—
$12, 000. 00.

12. For completing certain items originally provided for by
Chapter 587 of the Acts of 1935 but for which the Federal
funds referred to in said Act were not available—$30, 000. 00.

13. For the completion of the unfinished area for ten class-
rooms in the Bethesda-Chevy Chase Senior High School—
$18, 000. 00.

14. For fixed and educational equipment—$45, 000. 00.

SEC. 7. And be it further enacted, That the Board of Edu-
cation of Montgomery County shall, if it be found necessary,
have the authority to call upon the County Commissioners of
Montgomery County to make available to it a sum adequate
to cover any shortage of funds in the school construction pro-
gram contemplated by this Act, such shortage of funds being
caused by unanticipated contingent items of cost and by the
excess of the actual cost of such program over the estimated
cost of the individual items thereof hereinabove set forth, and
the County Commissioners of Montgomery County shall have
