year beginning with the year ending December 31, 1937, when-
ever the amount already carried in said account exceeds the
sum of $40, 000. 00, any and all accrued operating profits of the
electric department for the year then ending shall be paid over
into the general funds of the Mayor and Council of Easton.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1937.

CHAPTER 268.

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 21 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Talbot
County", to be under sub-title "Harbor Master", said new
section to be known as Section 260A and to follow imme-
diately after Section 260 of said Article, relating to the
appointment of a Harbor Master, his duties and salary.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article
21 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edi-
tion), title "Talbot County", to be under sub-title "Harbor
Master", said new section to be known as Section 260A and to
follow immediately after Section 260 of said Article, and to
read as follows:

260A. The County Commissioners of Talbot County shall
have the power to appoint one or more harbor masters for the
several rivers and yacht basins of Talbot County. They shall
serve without salary and the term of office shall be for a
period of one year. The said Harbor Masters are hereby
authorized to regulate the speed of craft entering or leaving
harbor, and shall also perform such other and closely related
duties as may be assigned to them by the County Commis-
sioners of Talbot County.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1937.
