to the treatment of sick animals or to a dog being owned by
a non-resident of the County and confined temporarily at a
licensed boarding kennel. Excepting in cases where their acts
are in contravention of other Sections of this Act, enforce-
ment officers exercising due diligence shall not be held respon-
sible for failure to extend the immunity from local licensing
accorded to dogs covered by this Section.

256T. BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS POWER TO MAKE
REGULATIONS AND TO DELEGATE AUTHORITY. The Board of
County Commissioners of Anne Arundel County shall have the
power to make, from time to time, in their discretion, all
necessary rules, regulations, and provisions, not inconsistent
with the foregoing Sections, for the sale of licenses, the keep-
ing of records and the convenient and effective enforcement
of this Act with power to delegate by written contract such
enforcement and administration of its various provisions pro-
vided, however, that in any such contract it reserved the right
to cancel, without previous notice or recourse, such delegation
for stated cause or on thirty days' notice without cause.

Said Board shall record in the County Clerk's office any such
contract immediately upon its execution.

256U. If any clause, sentence, paragraph, or part of this
sub-title shall for any reason be adjudged by a court to be in-
valid, such judgment shall be confined in its operation to the
clause, sentence, paragraph or part involved in the contro-
versy in which such judgment shall have been rendered.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That Section 267-273,
both inclusive, of Article 56 of the Annotated Code (1935 Sup-
plement), be and they are hereby repealed, in so far as they
apply to Anne Arundel County and any other laws inconsist-
ent with the provisions of this Act, be and they are hereby
repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1937.
