this Act, or any of them, are hereby repealed to the extent of
such inconsistency but only to such extent.

CHAPTER 228.

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 2 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Anne
Arundel County", sub-title "Schools", said new section to be
known as Section 460A and to follow immediately after
Section 460 of said Article, to authorize, empower, and direct
the Board of Education to apply all county funds made
available through the State restoration of teachers' salaries
toward the salaries of Anne Arundel County teachers over
and above the State minimum.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article
2 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edi-
tion), title "Anne Arundel County", sub-title "Schools", said
new section to be known as Section 460A and to follow imme-
diately after Section 460 of said Article and to read as follows:

460A. Be it enacted that on and after September 1, 1937,
all funds made available in the budget of the Board of Educa-
tion of Anne Arundel County because of restoration of the
State minimum scale of teachers' salaries shall be applied to
further increase such salaries, over and above the State mini-
mum salary scale, provided that all increases shall be made
in proportion to and for the purposes designated in the State
Equalization Law.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1st. 1937.

CHAPTER 229.

AN ACT to authorize, empower and direct the Commissioners
of Denton to improve Third Street and Lincoln Street and
to assess the owners of the abutting property to pay part of
the cost thereof.
