CHAPTER 216.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 26
of Article 56 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1924 Edi-
tion), title "Licenses", sub-title "Hawkers and Peddlers",
exempting certain merchants in Allegany County selling
to regular customers and others from the provisions of
this sub-title.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 26 of Article 56 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1924 Edition), title "Licenses", sub-title "Hawkers
and Peddlers", be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted with
amendments to read as follows:
HAWKERS AND PEDDLERS.
26. No hawker or peddler shall buy for sale out of the
State, or buy to trade, barter or sell, or offer to trade, barter
or sell within the State any goods, wares or merchandise until
he shall have first taken out a license for that purpose, but
nothing in this section shall apply to hawkers and peddlers of
oysters and fish in their unpreserved and natural condition, or
of fruits and vegetables perishable in their nature that are
sold in their natural condition in this State, or to licensed
merchants or traders in Allegany County who have main-
tained regular places of business for not less than five years
and who deliver goods, wares or merchandise to regular cus-
tomers or others with or without prior orders. This section
not to apply to Prince George's, Anne Arundel nor Cecil
Counties, as to which special local law exists.
SEC. 2. And ~bc it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1937.

CHAPTER 217.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
184B of Article 56 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1935
Supplement), title "Licenses", sub-title "Motor Vehicles",
sub-heading "Fees for Registration of Motor Vehicles", as
said section was amended by Chapters 85 and 102 of the
Acts of the Extraordinary Session of 1936, authorizing and
directing the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles to refuse any
marker, certificate of registration or title for any motor
