SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That Section 196 of Arti-
cle 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1924 Edition), title
"Elections, " sub-title "Primary Elections, " be and it is hereby
repealed.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That Sections 1 and 2
of this Act shall not become effective until they shall have
been submitted, for adoption or rejection, to the qualified
voters of Anne Arundel County at the General Election in
November, 1940. There shall be printed on the ballots to be
used at said election the title of this Act and underneath said
title on separate lines, a square or box to the right of and
opposite the words "For Reduction in County Commissioners",
and a corresponding square or box to the right of and opposite
the words "Against Reduction in County Commissioners", so
that the voters shall be able to designate by a cross mark in
the proper square or box his or her decision for or against
said question. If a majority of the votes cast on said question
shall be "For Reduction in County Commissioners", then
Sections 1 and 2 of this Act shall thereupon become effective,
but if a majority of the votes cast thereon shall be "Against
Reduction in County Commissioners", then this Act shall be
null and void and of no effect whatsoever.
SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1937.

CHAPTER 207.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 202
of Article 23 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1930 Edition), as amended by Chapter 71 of the Acts of
1933, title "Wicomico County", sub-title "Revenue and
Taxes", increasing the salary of the Clerk to the County
Commissioners.
SECTION I. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 202 of Article 23 of the Code of Public-
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Wicomico
County", sub-title "Revenue and Taxes", as amended by Chap-
ter 71 of the Acts of 1933, be and it is hereby repealed and
re-enacted with amendments to read as follows:
