LAWS OF MARYLAND OF 1937
MARYLAND, Sct.:
At a Session of the General Assembly of Maryland, begun and
held in the City of Annapolis, on the Sixth day of
January, 1937, and ending on the Fifth day of April,
1937, the Honorable Harry W. Nice, being Governor
of the State, the following Laws were enacted, to wit:
CHAPTER 1.
AN ACT to add a new Section after Section 54 of Article 11
of Flack's Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930
Edition), title "Frederick County", sub-title "Brunswick",
sub-heading "Sewerage System", said new section to be
known as Section 54A, to authorize and empower the Mayor
and Council of Brunswick, in Frederick County, Maryland,
in their discretion, to borrow or raise upon the faith and
credit of said Town of Brunswick, Maryland, a sum not to
exceed Forty-Five Thousand Dollars ($45, 000. 00), and to
issue, sell or pledge bonds, stock, notes, negotiable paper or
certificates of indebtedness executed and issued by the
Mayor and Council of Brunswick, Maryland, therefor, for
the purpose of constructing, extending, erecting, or com-
pleting a sewerage system and refuse disposal plant for the
Town of Brunswick, Maryland.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and it is added to Article 11 of
Flack's Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edi-
tion), title "Frederick County", sub-title "Brunswick", sub-
heading "Sewerage System", to be known as Section 54A, to
follow immediately after Section 54, and to read as follows:
54A. The Mayor and Council of Brunswick, a municipal
corporation, in Frederick County, Maryland, is hereby author-
ized and empowered, in its discretion, to borrow money on
bonds, stocks, notes, negotiable paper or certificates of in-
debtedness, executed and issued by the Mayor and Council of
Brunswick, in Frederick County, Maryland; provided the sum
so borrowed under this act shall at no time exceed the sum of
Forty-Five Thousand Dollars ($45, 000. 00), unless otherwise ex-
pressly authorized by law; said sum not exceeding Forty-Five
Thousand Dollars ($45, 000. 00) provided for in this section to
