Land Banks, Joint Stock Land Banks, Federal Farm Mort-
gage Corporations, Federal Intermediate Credit Banks, Fed-
eral Home Loan Board, Home Owners Loan Corporation,
Federal Housing Administrator, National Mortgage Associa
tions, and mortgages and bonds or notes secured by mort-
gage or trust deed insured by the Federal Housing Adminis-
trator shall be lawful investments for all fiduciary and trust
funds, or funds of trust, bonding and insurance companies,
building and loan associations, savings and loan associations,
and for the workmen's compensation fund, or other public
moneys subject to investment in this State and that said
bonds, debentures, notes or other securities shall be accepted
as security for all public deposits and shall be used where
deposit of securities is required by law and shall be legal
investments for the sinking fund for the State of Maryland
on the same terms as any bonds for which the faith of the
United States is pledged; and declaring the same to be an
emergency law and necessary for the immediate preservation
of the public health and safety.

CHAPTER 169.

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 12 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Gar-
rett County", to be under sub-title "Amusement Licenses",
said new section to be known as Section ISA and to follow
immediately after Section 18 of said Article, providing for
the licensing of certain amusements in Garrett County and
the conditions for the granting of such licenses and for the
disposition of the receipts therefrom.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article
12 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edi-
tion), title "Garrett County", to be under sub-title "Amuse-
ment Licenses", said new section to be known as Section ISA,
to follow immediately after Section 18 of said Article, and to
read as follows:

ISA. Every person or corporation that shall maintain a
dance hall or floor or shall hereafter hold in Garrett County,
any dance, picnic or other form of amusement or entertainment
for pecuniary profit and gain to the said person, persons or
corporation, for which no license is now provided by law shall,
before operating said dance hall or floor or giving or holding
any dance, picnic or other form of amusement or entertain-
