CHAPTER 100.
AN ACT to repeal Section 417 of Article 7 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Car-
roll County", sub-title "Taneytown", and to re-enact said
section in an amended form, permitting The Mayor and
City Council of Taneytown to borrow such sum or sums of
money, not exceeding $15, 000. 00, as might be necessary for
corporate purposes.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 417 of Article 7 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Carroll County", sub-
title "Taneytown", be and the same is hereby repealed and
re-enacted to read as follows:
417. The said The Mayor and City Council of Taneytown
shall cause to be made an assessment from time to time of all
assessable property, real, personal and mixed, within the limits
of said town, and shall levy a tax upon all such property not to
exceed in any one year fifty cents on the one hundred dollars, as
they may deem necessary for the said corporate government ex-
penses, and such levy shall be in addition to any special levies
now required to be made by law; and the said The Mayor and
City Council of Taneytown may borrow such sum or sums of
money, not exceeding fifteen thousand dollars, as might be
necessary for corporate purposes, which debt shall be cancelled
as rapidly as the collection of taxes succeeding such borrowing
will permit.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1937.

CHAPTER 101.
AN ACT to amend Article 23 of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland, entitled "Wicomico County", by the addition
thereto of one new section, authorizing the Mayor and Coun-
cil of Salisbury to provide for preservation of the naviga-
tion of the Wicomico River and branches thereof, regulat-
ing structures extending into said river, providing for the
general regulation of the use thereof and the use and main-
tenance of bulkheads or pilings, all said authority, however,
limited to the City Limits of Salisbury, Maryland.
