1344 LAWS OF MARYLAND. [CH. 549

SEC. 46. Each section of this Act and every part of said
section are hereby declared to be individual sections, and the
holding of any section or sections or part or parts thereof to
be void, ineffective or unconstitutional for any cause shall not
be deemed to affect any other section or part thereof.

CHAPTER 549.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 105
of Article 19 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land (1930 Edition), title "St. Mary's County", sub-title
"Leonardtown", and Section 126 of said Article, sub-title
"Liquors and Intoxicating Drinks", as said section was
amended by Chapter 115 of the Acts of 1935, providing that
license fees received for the sale of alcoholic beverages in
the Town of Leonardtown shall be paid to the Commis-
sioners of said Town for general corporate purposes.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 105 of Article 19 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "St, Mary's
County", sub-title "Leonardtown", and Section 126 of said
Article, sub-title "Liquors and Intoxicating Drinks", as said
section was amended by Chapter 115 of the Acts of 1935, be
and they are hereby repealed and re-enacted with amendments,
to read as follows:

105. In order to further increase the revenues to be ex-
pended by "The Commissioners of Leonardtown" for general
corporate purposes, the Clerk of the Court of St. Mary's Coun-
ty is hereby authorized, required and directed to pay over to
said Commissioners of Leonardtown all moneys derived from
the issuance of liquor licenses to persons authorizing them to
sell intoxicating liquors within the corporate limits of said
town.

126. The applicant for a license to sell spirituous or fer-
mented liquors of any kind whatsoever, containing more than
8% of alcohol by volume, shall pay to the Clerk of the Circuit
Court upon the issuing of such license the sum of one hun-
dred dollars ($ 100. 00) for one year or such pro rata part of
said sum for a shorter period. And any licensee who shall
take out said license shall have the right to sell beer and all
other alcoholic drinks or beverages of any alcoholic contents.
