provision to other persons or circumstances shall not be af-
fected and shall be separable.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That all Acts or parts
of Acts of any Public General or Public Local Laws incon-
sistent with the provisions of this Act be and the same are
hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.

SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1937.

CHAPTER 519.

AN ACT to add eight new sections to Article 78A of the 1935
Supplement of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1924 Edi-
tion), title "Public Works—Board of", sub-title "Maryland
Emergency Housing and Park Commission", said new sec-
tions to follow immediately after Section 23 of said Article
and to be known as Sections 24 to 31, adding to the powers
of the Maryland Emergency Housing and Park Commission.

(Vetoed. )

CHAPTER 520.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 272
of Article 13 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1930 Edition), title "Harford County", sub-title "Havre de
Grace", extending the tax exemption allowed members of
the Fire Department to the inactive members of said De-
partment.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 272 of Article 13 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Harford
County", sub-title "Havre de Grace", be and the same is hereby
repealed and re-enacted with amendments, to read as follows:

272. Each bona fide active and inactive member of the Fire
Department of the City of Havre de Grace shall be exempt
from taxation for city purposes to the extent of one thousand
($1, 000) dollars.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1937.
