shall be taught the work of practical embalming and
funeral director, and for the dissemination and reasonable
knowledge of sanitation, preservation of the dead, dis-
infecting the bodies of deceased persons, the apartment, cloth-
ing and bedding in cases of death resulting from infectious or
contagious diseases. The said State Board of Funeral
Directors and Embalmers shall have the full power and
authority to establish all rules and regulations for the con-
duct of said school, the payment of tuition fees, the admission
of pupils, and the issue of diplomas to graduates therefrom.

309. The cost of maintaining and conducting said school
shall be defrayed from the receipts of said State Board of
Funeral Directors and Embalmers obtained from tuition fees,
examination fees and fees for the issuing of licenses and re-
newals.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That if any section or
provision of this Act shall be declared invalid, such invalidity
shall not affect the remaining sections or provisions thereof.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1937.

CHAPTER 504.

AN ACT to alter and amend the laws relating to corporations,
associations and joint stock companies.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the provisions of this Act, so far as they are sub-
stantially the same as existing statutes, shall be construed as
continuations thereof, and as intended to make no substantive
change in existing laws, except in so far as such change shall
be clearly manifest, and no implication of a change of intent
shall arise by reason of a change of words or phraseology or
by reason of a relocation or rearrangement of sentences,
phrases, sections or paragraphs except so far as such change
of intent shall be clearly manifest.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That two new sections be
and they are hereby added to Article 23 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (Edition of 1924), to be known respectively
as Sections 23% and 1341/2, to follow respectively Sections 23
and 134 of said Article, and to read respectively as follows:
