1028 LAWS OF MARYLAND. [CH. 493

Maryland (1935 Supplement), title "Alcoholic Beverages",
sub-title "Regulations and Restrictions", be and it is hereby
repealed and re-enacted with amendments, to read as follows:

31. GENERAL REGULATIONS, HOTELS, RESTAURANTS AND
CLUBS—RESTRICTIONS AFTER MIDNIGHT AND ON SUNDAY. No
retail dealer shall be permitted to sell any alcoholic beverages
at a bar or counter at any time between the hours of midnight
and G A. M. or at any bar or counter on Sunday and in Wash-
ington County no alcoholic beverages shall at any time he sold
at a bar for consumption on the premises. In Talbot County
it shall be unlawful for anyone to sell any alcoholic beverages
on Sunday. In Wicomico County it shall be unlawful for
anyone to sell alcoholic beverages between the hours of 6 A. M.
and 1 P. M. on Sunday. Any person selling such beverages
in Talbot County on Sunday, or in Wicomico County between
the hours of 6 A. M. and 1 P. M. on Sunday shall be guilty of
a misdemeanor and, upon conviction thereof, shall be fined
not exceeding fifty ($50. 00) dollars for the first offense and
for each succeeding offense shall be fined not exceeding one
hundred ($ 100. 00) dollars, or imprisoned in the County Jail
for not more than thirty (30) days, or be both fined and im-
prisoned, in the discretion of the Court.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1937.

CHAPTER 493.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Sub-section
(5) of Section 3 of Article 2B of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1935 Supplement), title "Alcoholic Beverages",
sub-title "Classes of Licenses", relating to the sale of alco-
holic beverages by hotels and clubs under certain condi-
tions in Cecil County, and to add a new provision thereto
prohibiting the sale of Beer, Wine and Liquor on Sunday in
Cecil County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted 'by the General Assembly of Mary-
laud, That Sub-section (5) of Section 3 of Article 2B of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1935 Supplement), title "Alco-
holic Beverages", sub-title "Classes of Licenses", be and the
same is hereby repealed and re-enacted with amendments, to
read as follows:
