WM. PRESTON LANE, JR., GOVERNOR. 955

67. TRANSFER OF LICENSES, (a) Any holder of a
license under the provisions of this Article, may be permitted
to transfer his place of business to some other location or to
sell or assign said license and his stock in trade to another
person, provided that application for such transfer or sale
shall be made, and that a bulk sales permit is obtained
where the stock of alcoholic beverages is to be sold, and the
new location or assignee shall be approved as in the case
of an original application for such license. Such transfer
or assignment when made shall be endorsed upon the license
by the official issuing the same, upon the payment of a fee
of one dollar ($1.00) in addition to the costs of publication
and notice, which shall be paid at the time of the filing of
the application for the transfer or sale.

(a-1) ALLEGANY COUNTY. In Allegany County, the holder of
any license issued under this Article shall not be permitted to
sell, assign or otherwise transfer such license to another per-
son. If any such holder of a license shall for any reason
discontinue the use thereof, said license shall revert to the
Board. Thereafter, the Board shall treat the said license in
all respects as if it had not previously been issued and re-
verted, and may issue it to another licensee, or not so issue
it, in their discretion, agreeably to the provisions of this
Article relating to the issue of licenses for the retail sale of
alcoholic beverages. Provided, that nothing in this sub-section,
shall be construed to extend to the disposal of a license by
reason of the death of the licensee, but any such contingency
shall be covered by the provisions of Section 71 of this sub-
title.

68. EVICTIONS. On the tenth day after the holder of any
license issued under the provisions of this Article shall have
vacated, or been evicted from the premises for which said
license was issued, said license shall expire unless an applica-
tion for approval of a transfer thereof to another location or
assignment to another person pursuant to Section 67 of this
Article or an application pursuant to Section 71 of this Article
has been approved or is then pending, providing, however, that
the official authorized to issue licenses may, in his discretion,
postpone such expiration for an additional period not exceed-
ing twenty days in any case to avoid undue hardship.

69. DISPLAY OF LICENSES. Every person receiving a
license under the provisions of this Article shall frame his
license under glass and place the same so that it shall at all
times be conspicuous and easily read in his place of business,
except in the case of a Class F license, which shall be kept in
the chief operating office of the corporation in this State.
