Article 95A of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1943 Supple-
ment), title "Unemployment Compensation", sub-title "Bene-
fits", Sub-sections 3 (b) (1) and 3 (c) thereof having been
amended by Ch. 270 of the Acts of 1945; Sub-sections 4 (c) and
4 (e) of said Article, sub-title "Benefit Eligibility Conditions",
Sub-section 4 (c) thereof having been amended by Ch. 270 of
the Acts of 1945; Section 5 of said Article, sub-title "Dis-
qualification for Benefits", as said section was amended by
Ch. 768 of the Acts of 1945; Sub-sections 7 (b) and 7 (c) of
said Article, sub-title "Contributions", Sub-section 7 (c)
thereof having been amended by Ch. 768 of the Acts of 1945
and by Ch. 2 of the Acts of the Special Session of 1945; Section
10 and Sub-section 11 (g) of said Article, sub-title "Adminis-
trative Organization"; and Sub-sections 19 (c) and 19 (n) of
said Article, sub-title "Definitions"; be and the same are
hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, all to read
as follows:

(b) (1) Weekly Benefit Amount.
An individual's "weekly benefit amount" shall be computed
by dividing the total of the wages paid him for insured work
in that calendar quarter of his base period in which such
total wages were highest, by twenty-six (26), and by carrying
the resulting quotient to the nearest even dollar, except that
if said quotent ends in .50, it shall be carried to the next
higher even dollar, Provided, that such weekly benefit amount
shall in no event be less than six dollars ($6.00) nor more
than twenty-five dollars ($25.00).
(b) (2) Weekly Benefit for Unemployment.
Each eligible individual who is unemployed in any week
shall be paid with respect to such week a benefit in an amount
equal to his weekly benefit amount less that part of the
wages (if any) payable to him with respect to such week
which is in excess of $2.00; provided that such amount of
benefits, if not a multiple of $1.00, shall be computed to the
nearest multiple of $1.00, except that if such amount ends in
.50 it shall be carried to the next higher multiple of $1.00.
(c) Duration of Benefits.
Any otherwise eligible individual shall be entitled during
any benefit year to a total amount of benefits equal to which-
ever is the lesser of (1) twenty-six times his weekly benefit
amount, and (2) one-fourth of the wages paid to him during
his base period for insured work; provided that such total
amount of benefits, if not a multiple of $1.00, shall be com-
