SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 379 of Article 3 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Baltimore
County", sub-title "Health and Sanitation'', be and the same
is hereby repealed.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1947.

CHAPTER 465.
(House Bill 792)
AN ACT to authorize and empower the Burgess and Com-
missioners of Funkstown, Washington County, to construct,
install, maintain in working order and operate a sewerage
system in said town, with full powers to fix schedules of
rates therefor, and authorizing and empowering said Bur-
gess and Commissioners to borrow upon the faith and
credit of said town a sum not to exceed Fifty Thousand
Dollars ($50,000) and to issue its bonds therefor, and to
levy municipal taxes to pay the principal and interest of
such indebtedness, and providing for a referendum thereon.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Burgess and Commissioners of Funkstown are
hereby fully authorized and empowered to construct, establish,
maintain in working order and operate a sewerage system in
the town of Funkstown, Washington County, for the collec-
tion, transmission and disposal of drainage and sewage from
the houses and other buildings, cess-pools, wells, sinks and
other receptacles for sewage and drainage in said town, in-
cluding also, if the Burgess and Commissioners of Funkstown
shall at any time so determine, storm water and other drain-
age from the streets, lanes, roads and alleys of said town, and
the Burgess and Commissioners of Funkstown shall have full
power and authority to determine when and where, and in
what order and under what streets, roads, lanes and alleys
the sewers and drains of said sewerage system shall be con-
structed or laid, and to make contracts for the construction
thereof, and shall have all the powers necessary or appro-
priate for said purposes and for the accomplishment of the
objects thereof.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the Burgess and
Commissioners of Funkstown shall have full power and au-
