an annual salary of $1,200.00. The Clerk to the Trial Magis-
trate shall issue writs at the direction of said Magistrate and
shall accept bail after the amount of said bail has been set.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1947.

CHAPTER 461.
(House Bill 761)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections
141A and 141B of Article 8 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Cecil County", sub-
title "County Commissioners", as said sections were added
by Chapter 467 of the Acts of 1937, increasing the amount
the County Commissioners of Cecil County are authorized
and directed to levy annually and to pay to the several
Volunteer Fire Companies in said county for the mainte-
nance thereof.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sections 141A and 141B of Article 8 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Cecil
County", sub-title "County Commissioners", as said sections
were added by Chapter 467 of the Acts of 1937, be and they
are hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:

141A. The County Commissioners of Cecil County are hereby
directed to levy, on the assessable property in Cecil County,
annually, the sum of Eight Thousand Four Hundred Dollars
($8,400.00) for the purpose of assisting in the maintenance of
the seven volunteer fire companies in Cecil County, namely,
Cecilton Fire Company, Chseapeake City Fire Company, Sing-
erly Fire Company of Elkton, Worth East Fire Company,
Community Fire Company of Perryville, Water Witch Fire
Company at Port Deposit and the Rising Sun Fire Company.
The first levy shall be made in the month of June, 1947, and
the said sum of money to be paid by the County Commissioners
of Cecil County to the said seven volunteer fire companies pro
rata. The said County Commissioners are hereby directed to
require each of the said seven volunteer fire companies to file,
annually, a fair statement of the value of their respective fire
