porate bond to said Board of County Commissioners, to be
approved by the judge of the Circuit Court for said county
in a penal sum to be fixed by said judge, conditioned upon the
faithful discharge of the duties of said treasurer. From the
money so received the treasurer of the said Bethesda Fire
Department, Inc., its successor or successors shall pay all
proper costs, expenses, claims and demands, including sal-
aries to firemen and such principal and interest on any
encumbrances on the real estate owned by said Fire Depart-
ment as may be due, that are necessary to properly estab-
lish, maintain and operate said Fire Department. Should
the tax so collected in any one year be inadeqate to defray
the said costs, expenses, claims and demands, such deficiency
may be added to the amount required for the next ensuing
year and levied and collected in the next year's taxes.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1947.

AN ACT to repeal Section 197 of Article 11 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Fred-
erick County", sub-title "Frederick City", as said section
was amended by Chapter 550 of the Acts of 1939, and to
enact in lieu thereof a new Section 197 of said Article,
enlarging the boundaries of Frederick City.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 197 of Article 11 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition) title "Frederick
County", sub-title "Frederick City", as said section was
amended by Chapter 550 of the Acts of 1939, be and it is here-
by repealed, and that a new Section 197 of said Article be
and it is hereby enacted in lieu thereof, to read as follows:
197. The taxable limits of Frederick shall be as follows:
Beginning at stone No. 1, standing on the northern side of
West Seventh Street extended, 1.4 feet inside the field of
Stewart J. Beal, said stone being on the northerly extension
of a line 10.0 feet westerly of the easterly side of Military
Road (sometimes called Detrick Avenue) ; (1) thence with a
straight line, 2983.9 feet southwesterly to stone No. 2, said
stone No. 2 being on the southerly extension of said line 10.0
feet westwardly of the eastwardly side of Military Road, and
