718 LAWS OF MARYLAND. [CH. 414

Any person, firm or corporation keeping, maintaining or
operating any such machine or device without a license,
shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction there-
of, shall be fined One Hundred Dollars (f 100.00). All license
fees collected under the provisions of this section shall be
paid to the County Commissioners of Allegany County and
credited to the general funds of the county.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby
declared to be an emergency law and necessary for the imme-
diate preservation of the public health and safety, and having
been passed by a yea and nay vote, supported by three-fifths
of all the members elected to each of the two Houses of the
General Assembly of Maryland, the same shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 414.
(House Bill 620)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
30 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Montgomery County
(1939 Edition), being Article 16 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title Montgomery
County", sub-title "Bethesda", relating to the boundary of
the Bethesda Fire Department area and to the minimum
amount to be levied on each $ 100.00 of the assessable value
of the real and personal property within said area against
which property an annual levy is made by the County Com-
missioners of Montgomery County to provide funds to main-
tain and operate the Bethesda Fire Department, Inc.

SECTION \. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 30 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Montgomery County (1939 Edition), being Article 16 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Montgomery County", sub-title "Bethesda', be and it is
hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as
follows:

30. For the purpose of providing funds with which to
establish, maintain and operate a fire department within the
area in Bethesda District in said Montgomery County, partic-
ularly designated and described, and lying and being within
