sold pursuant to this Act, the question of such issue shall
first be submitted to the legally qualified voters of the town
of Laurel at a regular or special municipal election on such
a date not later than December 31, 1949, as shall be deter-
mined by the Mayor and City Council of said town. There
shall be printed on the ballots to be used at said election the
title of this Act, the amount of bonds, notes or other certifi-
cates of indebtedness to be issued and the purpose for which
the proceeds will be used and underneath said title, on separate
lines, a square or box to the right of and opposite the words
"For Bond Issuance", and a corresponding square or box to
the right of and opposite the words "Against Bond Issuance",
so that the voters shall be able to designate by a cross mark
in the proper square or box his or her decision for or against
said bond issue. If a majority of the votes cast shall be "For
Bond Issuance", then said bonds, notes or other certificates of
indebtedness shall be issued and sold, but if a majority of the
votes cast shall be "Against Bond Issuance", then said bonds,
notes or other certificates of indebtedness shall not be issued
or sold.
SEC. 6. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1947.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections
107 and 108 of Article 12 of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Garrett County", sub-
title "County Treasurer", as said sections were amended
by Chapter 199 of the Acts of 1937, relating to the County
Treasurer of Garrett County and the notices as to taxes
due.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sections 107 and. 108 of Article 12 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Garrett County", sub-title "County Treasurer", as said sec-
tions were amended by Chapter 199 of the Acts of 1937, be
and they are hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amend-
ments, to read as follows:
107. The said Treasurer shall, during the first week in
September in each and every year, give notice to all the
