to remove said names from the registration books of the said
Seventeenth Election District.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1947.

(House Bill 277)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
876 of Article 4 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land and Baltimore City Charter (1938 Edition), title
"Baltimore City", sub-title "Police Commissioner", as said
section was amended by Chapter 513 of the Acts of 1945,
relating to the salary and compensation of the officers and
employees of the Police Department of Baltimore City.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 876 of Article 4 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland and Baltimore City Charter (1938
Edition), title "Baltimore City", sub-title "Police Commis-
sioner", as said Section was amended by Chapter 513 of the
Acts of 1945, be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:

876. The officers and employees of the Police Department
of Baltimore City shall be paid compensation or salaries as
hereinafter set forth:

Police Commissioner, Ten Thousand Dollars (110,000) per
annum;

Secretary to Police Commissioner, Six Thousand Dollars
($6,000) per annum;

Assistant Secretary to Police Commissioner, Four Thou-
sand, Five Hundred Dollars ($4,500) per annum;

Assistants to Secretary, Three Thousand Six Hundred Dol-
lars ($3,600) each per annum;

Chief Physician, Two Thousand Five Hundred Dollars
($2,500) per annum;

Other Physicians, Two Thousand Three Hundred Dollars
($2,300) each per annum;
