and that they will act thereon at a fixed time on the second
day of registration, and at the time fixed the said supervisors
shall determine, after hearing such evidence as may be pre-
sented, whether such name shall be stricken off, and in the
event they shall determine that the name shall be stricken
off, they shall strike such name by running a line in red ink
through such name and noting thereon the date of striking;
and no person whose name is thus stricken off shall be en-
titled to vote in said town elections.

43F. (Right of Appeal.) Any person feeling aggrieved at
the action of the deputy supervisors of election in refusing to
register him or her, or in striking his or her name, shall have
the right to appeal to the Circuit Court for Prince George's
County, Maryland, in the manner, and according to the pro-
cedure now provided for appeals from County registration
officers.

43G. (Candidates for Office.) Any person, having the
qualifications provided for herein, may become a candidate for
Councilman, Mayor, or Treasurer, by filing with the Town
Supervisors of Election, at least 15 days prior to the election,
a certificate that he is a candidate, that he has the required
qualifications, and by giving his age, residence, occupation
and a reference to the Land Records, showing the ownership
of his real estate, provided that such certificate shall be
endorsed by at least 20 qualified voters of said town. The
qualifications of said candidate, or of those endorsing him,
shall not be subject to review of said supervisor's, but may
be decided and determined by the Circuit Court for said
County either before or after election, in any proper pro-
cedure, upon the petition of five (5) voters. In the event
that less persons than are to be elected shall file as candi-
dates, or any candidate having filed, dies or withdraws, the
said supervisors may receive petitions of candidacy up to
within three days of said election. The said supervisors
shall, for said election, cause to be made up official ballots,
upon clear white paper of a convenient size, in the usual
form of county ballots, and shall post a sample or facsimile
of said ballot in ten public places not later than the day
before such election. The names on said ballots shall be
arranged alphabetically with at least five blank spaces in
which the voters may write in and vote for one or more can-
didates, and said ballots shall be voted by making a cross
(X) in the square provided opposite the name of each candi-
date.

43H. (Election Clerks.) The Mayor, upon recommenda-
tion of the Town Council, shall at the regular meeting next
