No hog pen shall be established, maintained or operated
in Anne Arundel County within five hundred (500) feet
of any residence or place of business, public highway, public
school or public building, except the residence or place of
business of the operator thereof, his tenant, his agent or his
employee, unless the same owner or tenant of any residence
or place of business otherwise consents.

Any person violating the provisions of this section shall be
deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction thereof,
shall be punished by a fine of not less than Five Dollars
($5.00) nor more than Fifty Dollars ($50.00), or by impris-
onment in the county jail for a period not exceeding thirty
(30) days, or may be both fined and imprisoned in the dis-
cretion of the Court, and each day's violation thereof shall
constitute a separate offense.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1947.

CHAPTER 211.
(House Bill 114)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections
1377 and 1380 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Prince
George's County (1943 Edition—being Article 17 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Prince
George's County", sub-title "University Park", to provide for
the increase for the issuance of certificates of indebtedness
on the credit of the town for the purpose of maintenance,
repair and construction of streets, highways, sidewalks,
curbs and gutters, as well as to provide for the borrowing
of money for general municipal purposes and taxation for
repayment thereof by the town of University Park in Prince
George's County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 1377 of the Code of Public. Local Laws of
Prince George's County (1943 Edition— being Article 17 of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland) be and the same
is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:

1377(a). The Mayor and Common Council shall have
power to levy on or before the 31st day of March for each
