SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1947.

(Senate Bill 239)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
444 of Article 6 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Caroline County", sub-
title "Preston", increasing the debt limit to ten thousand
dollars.

SECTIONl. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 444 of Article 6 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Caroline County",
sub-title "Preston", be and it is hereby repealed and re-
enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

444. Said Commissioners may, whenever they deem it
necessary, to borrow money on the credit of said town,
by note or otherwise any amount they may deem neces-
sary, provided that said indebtedness, thus created, shall
not exceed at any time the sum of ten thousand ($10,000)
dollars.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1947.
