OFFICE OF THE SECRETARY OF STATE
To the Cleric of the Court of Appeals:
I, BERTRAM L. BOONE II, SECRETARY OF STATE OF THE STATE
OF MARYLAND, pursuant to the direction contained in Section
194 of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland as
amended by Chapter 934 of the Acts of 1945, DO HEREBY
CERTIFY, That at the Referendum Election held in the town
of Chesapeake City for the purpose of determining whether
the authority should be granted the corporate body of the
town to regulate the showing of motion pictures on Sunday,
said Act being Chapter 1077 of the General Assembly of
Maryland of 1945, this Act was submitted to the voters for
their adoption or rejection under the provisions of the Con-
stitution of the State, said Act being:
"An Act relating to the addition of five new sections to
Article 8 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land, relating to Sunday movies in Cecil County".
AND i DO CERTIFY, That at the said election held in the town
of Chesapeake City, 232 votes were cast in favor of the adop-
tion of Chapter 1077, of the Acts of 1945, and 81 votes were
cast against the adoption thereof, the said Act has thereby
been ratified.
IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, I have hereunto sub-
