OFFICE OF THE SECRETARY OF STATE
To the Clerk of the Court of Appeals:
I, JOHN B. FUNK, SECRETARY OF STATE, OF THE STATE OF
MARYLAND, pursuant to the direction contained in Section 194
of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, as amended
by Ch. 934 of 1945, DO HEREBY CERTIFY, That at the General
Election held in this State on Tuesday, November 5, 1946, an Act
known as Chapter 786 of the Acts of the General Assembly of
1945, was submitted to the duly qualified voters of the State of
Maryland, for their adoption or rejection, said Act being:
An Act to propose an amendment to Section 44 of Article
4 of the Constitution of the State of Maryland, title
"Judiciary Department", sub-title "Part VII—Sheriffs",
relating to the compensation of Sheriffs.
AND I DO CERTIFY, That at said election 104,576 votes were
cast in favor of the adoption of Chapter 786 of the Acts of
1945, and 40,292 votes were cast against the adoption thereof,
it was therefore ratified by the voters of the State of Mary-
land.
IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, I have hereunto sub-
