of all the members elected to each of the two Houses of the
General Assembly of Maryland, the same shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 875.
(House Bill 854)

AN ACT to repeal Sections' 124, 125, 126 and 127 of Article
18 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930
Edition), title "Queen Anne's County", sub-title "Light
Plant", and to enact four new sections to be known as
Sections 124, 125, 126 and 127 in lieu thereof, to provide
that the Centreville Electric Plant not be sold, leased or
connected with any other source of supply without the
affirmative vote of two-thirds (2/3) of the qualified voters
of the Town of Centreville, a municipal corporation.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sections 124, 125, 126 and 127 of Article 18 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Queen Anne's County", sub-title "Light Plant", be and the
same are hereby repealed and that four new sections to be
known as Sections 124, 125, 126 and 127 be and they are
hereby enacted in lieu thereof, to read as follows:

124. The Town Commissioners of Centreville, a municipal
corporation, is hereby authorized and empowered to sell, lease
or connect with other sources of electrical supply the munici-
pal electric lighting and power plant consisting of dynamos,
exciters, boilers, tranformers, engines, motors, meters, tur-
bines, poles, pole lines, franchises, and all equipment belong-
ing thereto, when, in its judgment an adequate and just price
can be obtained therefor and at the same time proper and
adequate terms and arrangements can be made for the light-
ing of said Town of Centreville and supplying it with electric
current and power.

125. When the Town Commissioners of Centreville have
received an offer of purchase, lease or connection with any
other source of supply for said electric plant and equipment,
which in its judgment is adequate, it may then enter into a
written contract with said purchasers, lessees or suppliers,
to which said contract a good and sufficient bond of said
