the performance of the duties provided by this Act, shall be
considered in law as acting for the said Bowling Green
Village, and are not to be held individually or personally liable
in connection therewith.
SEC. 9. And be it further enacted, That the Treasurer of said
Bowling Green Village shall deposit all funds coming into his
hands as such in accordance with the requirements of law,
for the deposit of County funds by the County Treasurer, or in
some other bank approved by the Village Board of Managers;
provided, that the Treasurer of said Bowling Green Village
shall not dispose of any of the funds coming into his hands
as such Treasurer, except upon check duly signed by him as
such Treasurer and countersigned by the Chairman or Vice-
Chairman or some member of the said Board of Managers
acting as Chairman pro tem in his absence. Such acting Chair-
man shall be duly authorized to "act by resolution of said
Board of Managers, which must be first placed upon the min-
utes of the Board of Managers to be provided therefor.
SEC. 10. And be it further enacted, That the said Board of
Managers of Bowling Green Village shall have the continuing
power to borrow a sum not to exceed Ten Thousand Dollars
($10,000.00) at any one time and to secure the same by placing
a deed of trust or mortgage on the real property belonging
to the said Bowling Green Village.
SEC. 11. And be it further enacted, (A) That for the pur-
pose of determining whether the residents of the Village of
Bowling Green desire to approve the creation of this special
taxing district, there shall be held an election in said Vil-
lage, between the hours of 7 o'clock, P. M., and 10 o'clock,
P. M., on the first Monday in May, in the year 1947.
(B) That Coit M. Speicher, Loy E. Auman and Austin G.
Snyder are hereby appointed to be and constitute a Board of
Election Supervisors for the purpose of conducting such elec-
tion and declaring the result thereof.
(C) That within ten (10) days (including Sundays and
holidays) after this Act is approved, the persons named in
Paragraph B of this section shall take oath before a Justice
of the Peace, or other officer or person (including a Notary
Public) authorized to administer oaths in Allegany County,
that they will faithfully and impartially conduct such elec-
tion.
(D) That if any of the persons named in Paragraph B of
this section shall die or fail to qualify, such election shall be
