Commissioners and Treasurer", sub-heading "Dump", be and it
is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:
214. (a) The County Commissioners of Montgomery County
are hereby authorized, in their discretion, to purchase a lot or
parcel of ground for use as a dump and to levy a sufficient
amount to pay for the cost of same.
(b) The County Commissioners of Montgomery County are
hereby authorized, in their discretion, to license and regulate
all dumps, both private and public, in any section of Mont-
gomery County outside of the Washington Suburban Sanitary
District.
(c) No dump shall be maintained hereafter, nor shall any
lot or parcel of ground be used as a dump, if the same is
situated wtihin three miles of any municipality of Montgomery
County; and it shall be the duty of the County Commissioners
of Montgomery County, in exercising the discretion granted
them hereinabove, to comply strictly with the provisions of
this sub-section, especially with respect to the effect of same
upon the licensing and regulation provisions of Sub-section
(b), provided, however, that nothing in this sub-section shall
in any way be construed to apply to the town of Washington
Grove and Gaithersburg.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That Chapter 643 of the
Acts of 1943 be and it is hereby repealed.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1947.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
335 of Article 23 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Wicomico County", sub-
title "Salisbury—Water and Sewers", as amended by Chap-
ter 141 of the Acts of 1945, authorizing the Mayor and
Council of Salisbury to establish such service rates, charges
or water rents as it may deem necessary, chargeable
against all properties connected with the water system.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land. That Section 335 of Article 23 of the Code of Public
