SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1947.

CHAPTER 832.
(House Bill 726)

AN ACT to add a new sub-title and eight new sections to the
Code of Public Local Laws of Prince George's County
(Flack's Edition, 1943), being Article 17 of the Code of Pub-
lic Local Laws of Maryland, title "Prince George's County,"
said new sub-title to be "'Recreation Board" and said new
sections to be numbered consecutively beginning with Sec-
tion 952 to follow immediately after the new sub-title, which
shall follow Section 952, the purpose of said new sub-title
and sections being to create a Recreation Board and to set
forth its terms of membership, area of jurisdiction, admin-
istrative responsibilities, objectives, duties, methods of pro-
cedure, and other matters pertaining to the carrying on of
a recreational program.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new sub-title and eight new sections relative
thereto be, and the same are, hereby added to the Code of
Public Local Laws of Prince George's County (Flack's Edi-
tion, 1943), being Article 17 of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland, said new sub-title and sections, numbered con-
secutively, to follow immediately after Section 952 and to
read as follows:

RECREATION BOARD

953. The Board of County Commissioners of Prince
George's County is hereby authorized and empowered to estab-
lish a Prince George's County Recreation Board composed
of five members to perform the duties specified in this Act.

954. The Board members representing the County Com-
missioners, the Board of Education, and the Park and Plan-
ning Commission shall serve during their terms of member-
ship on the respective agencies, Each citizen member shall
serve for a term of four years. The Board shall select, from
