CHAPTER 680.
(Senate Bill 456)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sec-
tion 42 of Article 39 of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1939 Edition), title "Fish and Fisheries", sub-title
"Further Restrictions in County Waters", as said Sec-
tion was added by Chapter 822 of the Acts of 1945,
relating to fishing by residents of Kent County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 42 of Article 39 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1931 Edition), title "Fish and Fisheries", sub-
title "Further Restrictions in County Waters", as said
Section was added by Chapter 822 of the Acts of 1945, be
and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments,
to read as follows:
42. It shall be unlawful for any person, other than a
resident of Queen Anne's, Kent or Talbot Counties, to
fish with haul seines in the waters within the following
boundaries: Beginning at Bloody Point, in Queen Anne's
County, and running thence to the north end of Poplar
Island, and thence to Wade's Point, in Talbot County,
and thence to Long Point, in Queen Anne's County. The
residents of Queen Anne's, Kent and Talbot Counties shall
use the waters in said area in common as to fishing with
haul seines.
It shall be lawful for any residents of the State to fish
in the waters within said boundaries with stake gill nets,
anchor gill nets and drift gill nets during the season when
fishing with such nets is permitted by law.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1947.

AN ACT to add twenty-nine new sections to Article 81 of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title
"Revenue and Taxes", be under a new sub-title "Mary-
land Use Tax", said sections to be known as Sections 308
