ties, thereby superseding and making unnecessary the
above-mentioned sections; now therefore
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 383 of Article 15 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Kent County,"
sub-title "State's Attorney," as said section was amended
by Chapter 458 of the Acts of 1943, be and it is hereby
repealed.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1947.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sec-
tions 564 and 565 of Article 27 of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Crimes and Pun-
ishments", sub-title "Sabbath Breaking", authorizing
the playing of games in Kent, Caroline and Montgomery
Counties on Sunday.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 564 and 565 of Article 27 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Crimes and Pun-
ishments", sub-title "Sabbath Breaking", be and they are
hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:
564. Nothing contained in Section 560 of this Article,
however, shall be construed as prohibiting, penalizing or
making unlawful the playing, within Kent, Caroline or
Montgomery Counties, on the first day of the week, com-
monly called Sunday, of games of football, baseball, soft
ball, golf, tennis, croquet, basket ball, lacross, soccer
and hockey by any person or persons, whether the same
be played for recreation or admission to said games be
charged; provided, however, that it shall be unlawful for
any person or persons, to play said games on the first day
of the week, commonly called Sunday, within Montgomery
County, except between the hours of two P. M. and six
P. M., in Caroline County except after 1 P. M., and in Kent
