for transcribing such paper or record, and shall annex thereto
his certificate, under the seal of his court, if required; he shall
make proper entries of all proceedings in the court of which he
is clerk; and all entries and records shall be made in a fair,
legible hand, or with a typewriter or by the use of appropriate
printed forms, or by photostat machine if approved by the
Court, or by a combination of one or more of the aforegoing,
in well bound books procured by him for the purpose; and he
shall perform all the duties required of him, or which may
hereafter be required of him, by law. The cost of photostat
machine shall, upon approval by the Court, be allowed as an
expense of the office.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1947.

CHAPTER 104.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
12 (t) of Article 72 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1939 Edition), title "Oysters", sub-title "Private Oyster
Culture", as said Article 72 was revised by Ch. 929 of the
Acts of 1945, restoring Wicomico County to the list of
counties in which cultivated oysters may be taken only
with tongs or patent tongs.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 12(t) of Article 72 of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Oysters", sub-title "Pri-
vate Oyster Culture", as said Article 72 was revised by Ch.
929 of the Acts of 1945, be and the same is hereby repealed
and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
12.
(t) Methods of Taking or Catching Cultivated Oysters. A
lessee is privileged to cultivate or remove oysters so planted
on his leased area in any manner that he deems proper, pro-
vided he has complied with the law providing for the licens-
ing of boats or tongers in removing them for market or trans-
planting; and provided, however, that no lessee or holder of
any submerged area in Dorchester, Charles, Wicomico, Queen
Anne's or Kent Counties, or in the Manokin River in Somer-
