(2) For improvements and additions to the Broomes
Island school;

(3) For remodeling and reconditioning the present
Calvert County High School at Prince Frederick, Md., for
use as an elementary school;

(4) For the construction, erection and acquisition of
new consolidated colored schools at Sunderland, Island
Creek and the Appeal-Olivet-Lusby area in Calvert County,
Maryland, together with all lands and appurtenances
thereto;

(5) For an addition to the Plum Point Colored Elemen-
tary School;

(6) For the installation of an agricultural shop and
home economic facilities at Brooks High School, Prince
Frederick, Maryland; and

(7) For the remodeling and improvement of Solomons
Elementary School, Huntingtown School, Fairview Ele-
mentary School and North Beach Elementary School.

The County Treasurer shall pay out such funds upon
the order of the Board of Education of Calvert County
upon the approval of the County Commissioners.

SEC. 6. And be it further enacted, That the Board of
Education of Calvert County is authorized and empowered,
with the approval of the County Commissioners to expend
any part of the aforesaid funds for the aforesaid purposes.
Said Board shall determine what part of said funds shall
be expended for which purpose and the order and time of
such expenditures. Said funds may be used alone or in
connection with any federal or state funds made available
for school purposes. The plans and specifications for any
school buildings shall be subject to the approval of the
State Superintendent of Schools, as provided in Section
30 of Article 77 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, and
any amendments thereto.

SEC. 7. And be it further enacted, That the provisions
of this Act shall be construed as additional and supplemen-
tary to and not in substitution for or in conflict with any
of the provisions of the general laws of this State relating
to public schools, and the powers of the State Superin-
tendent of Schools, in regard to the plans, construction and
erection of public school buildings.

SEC. 8. And be it further enacted, That for the purpose
of paying the interest on such bonds as may be issued
under the provisions of this Act, and redeeming them as
