(5) The salary of a teacher holding a regular second
grade certificate shall be $1,300; and the salary of a teacher
holding a regular third grade certificate shall be $1,100.
(6) The salary of a teacher or principal holding a
provisional certificate shall be $200 less per school year
than that required for a teacher or principal holding a regu-
lar certificate for the same grade.
(7) The County Board of Education of any county
may, in its discretion, pay to teachers and principals an-
nual salaries in excess of the salaries provided for in this
section.
(8) The County Commissioners of each county shall
levy sufficient funds to meet the schedule of salaries herein
established.
SEC. 2 And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1947.

(Senate Bill 291)
AN ACT to add a new sub-section to Section 7 of Article
81 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1943 Supple-
ment), title "Revenue and Taxes", sub-title "Ordinary
Taxes. What Shall Be Taxed and Where", said new sub-
section to be known as Sub-section (32) and to follow
immediately after Sub-section (31) of said Section and
Article, exempting the Baltimore Area Council Boy
Scouts of America, Inc., from payment of taxes on real
and personal property.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by theGcncralAssembly of Maryland.
That a new sub-section be and it is hereby added to Section
7 of Article 81 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1943
Supplement), title "Revenue and Taxes", sub-title "Ordi-
nary Taxes. What Shall Be Taxed and Where", said new
sub-section to be known as Sub-section (32) of Section 7,
to follow immediately after Sub-section (31) of said Sec-
tion and to read as follows:
