SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
effect June 1, 1947.

CHAPTER 521.
(Senate Bill 247)

AN ACT to repeal Section 353 of Article 7 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Carroll County," sub-title "Sykesville," as said Section
353 was amended by Chapter 279 of the Acts of 1931,
and to enact a new Section 353 in lieu thereof, and to
repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections 354, 356,
358, 370, 371, 373 and 383 of said Article and title and
to add three new sections to said Article and title, to be
known as Sections 384A, 384B and 3.84C, to follow im-
mediately after Section 384 of said Article, redefining
the limits of the Town of Sykesville and generally
amending the charter of said town.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 353 of Article 7 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Carroll County,"
sub-title "Sykesville," as said Section 353 was amended by
Chapter 279 of the Acts of 1931, be and it is hereby re-
pealed and that a new Section 358 be and it is hereby en-
acted in lieu thereof, to read as follows:

353. The limits of said town shall be as follows: Begin-
ning for the same at an iron pipe South 40 1/2 degrees West
2 rods from the west pillar of the south gateway to the
Springfield State Hospital, and running thence as surveyed
March 10th to 13th, 1939, as follows: (1) North 381,4
degrees West 14 rods to an iron pipe (2) North 42 1/2 de-
grees West 72 rods to an iron pipe (3) North 84 degrees
West 64 rods to an iron pipe (4) South 241/2 degrees West
195.4 rods to an iron pipe (5) South 18 1/4 degrees West 25
rods to a stake (6) South 8 1/4 degrees East 111 rods, pass-
ing two marked ash trees to the center of the south Branch
of the Patapsco River, thence with the center of said river,
(7) South 681/2 degrees East 17.5 rods (8) South 25 de-
grees East 15.9 rods (9) South 71 1/2 degrees East 7.5 rods
(10) North 38 1/2 degrees East 43.8 rods (11) North 72 1/4
degrees East 32 rods (12) North 86 degrees East 27.8 rods
