AMENDMENT NO. 8 TO SENATE BILL NO. 215

The combined net products of the aforesaid revenues shall

   

be received and administered by the State Roads Com-

   

mission as a Construction Fund, subject, however, to

   

the prior and continuing pledge — until no longer re-

   

quired — of such part thereof as may be necessary for:

   

(a) Preserving the annual tax laid by Section 140-K of

   

Article 89B, as enacted by Chapter 856 of the

   

Acts of 1941, and described therein as part of

   

the State Roads Commission's share of the One-

   

half Cent (1/2c.) Gasoline Tax.

   

(b) Preserving that portion of the annual tax laid by

   

Section 147-E of Article 89B, as enacted by

   

Chapter 884 of the Acts of 1941, and described

   

therein as part of the One and four-tenths Mills

   

($.0014) of the Two Cent (2c) Gasoline tax.

   

(c) Preserving the annual tax laid by Section 140-T

   

of this Article as enacted by Chapter 755 of the

   

Acts of 1945. and described therein as the State

   

Roads Commission's share of the One-half Cent

   

(1/2c.) Grade Elimination Gasoline Tax.

   

(d) .To the extent required for Debt Service on State

   

Highway Construction Bonds, pursuant to Sec-

   

tions 147-G to 147-P, both inclusive, of Article

   

89B, to be enacted at the 1947 Session of the

   

General Assembly.

   

(e) The establishment of a Construction Fund for the

   

construction or reconstruction of a project or

   

projects as more particularly described in the

   

Bill.

   

The amounts named herein are computed as estimates

   

only, it being the intention that these Appropriations

   

shall be One Hundred Percent. (100%) of the net

   

revenue aforesaid, and it being further the intention

   

that should the proceeds of this tax exceed the respec-

   

tive amounts herein set forth, then such excess shall

   

not revert to the General Fund of the State, but shall

   

be applied and administered for those purposes and in

   

like manner as the sums hereby requested.

   

GASOLINE TAX FUND FOR USE OF THE COUNTIES

   

To the State Roads Commission for the use of the twenty-

   

three (23) Counties and Municipalities, the net pro-
