On Page 16 under the heading Maryland State Planning Commission, strike out item
203 and insert in lieu thereof the following:

On Page 90 under the heading Public Schools strike out all of items 21 and 22 and
insert in lieu thereof the following:

"22 Publications and Printing.......................... 4,300 4,300

23 State Board of Education Expenses.................. 1,250 1,250"

AMENDMENT NO. 3 TO SENATE BILL NO. 215

On Page 14 of the Printed Bill under the heading Department of Motor Vehicles,
Property Tax Collection Division, strike out all of the footnote under the line "Total
Appropriations from Special Funds" and insert in lieu thereof the following:

"The above appropriations to the Property Tax Collection Division shall be
consolidated with, and become a part of, the appropriations to the Department
of Motor Vehicles as shown on pages 12, 13 and 14 of the Printed Bill".

AMENDMENT NO. 4 TO SENATE BILL NO. 215

On Page 31 of the Printed Bill under the heading Department of Maryland State
Police and under the sub-heading "Summary", in the line "Total Appropriations from
Special Funds", strike out the word "Special" and insert in lieu thereof the word
"General". This amendment is to be effective contingent on the passage of legislation
providing additional General Funds revenue applicable to the Department of Maryland
State Police.

AMENDMENT NO. 5 TO SENATE BILL NO. 215

On Page 20 of the Printed Bill under the heading Superintendent of Public Buildings
and Grounds, under the sub-heading Salaries, Wages and Special Payments, strike
out all of item 11 and item 18; and in the line under item 19 and after the word
"Totals", strike out the amounts "62 98,175" under the column headed "1948", and
"62 100,433" under the column headed "1949", and insert in lieu thereof the amounts
"60 96,475" under the column headed "1948", and "60 98,733" under column headed
"1949".
