Dec. 4, 1876.—Amos H. Greenfield, Judge of the Orphans'
Court vice Thomas Bay, deceased.

Aug. 9, 1877.—John S. Morgan, Officer of Eegistration for
6th district vice W. B. Morgan, deceased.

On motion by Mr. Stump,

The Senate advised and consented to the aforegoing ap-
pointments, agreeably to the nominations of the 4th instant.

Gentlemen of the Senate of Maryland;

I herewith transmit to you a list of the Executive appoint-
ments made for Howard County during the recess of the Le-
gislature.

JOHN LEE CARROLL.

May 16, 1876.—George W. Boswell, Justice of the Peace
for 1st district vice John Vermilleon, de-
clined.

June 7, 1876.—Elias Hobbs, Justice of the Peace for 3d dis-
trict vice self, who failed to qualify.

June 7, 1876.—Joseph T. McAvoy, Officer of Registration
for 3d district vice self, who failed to
qualify.

June 22, 1876.—Lloyd Delawder, Justice of the Peace for
4th district vice self, who failed to qualify.

Dec. 20, 1876.—Joseph N. Gordon, Justice of the Peace for
1st district vice Albert Freeland, resigned.

Feb. 20, 1877.—Francis Heine, Justice of the Peace for 2d
district vice Jos. Hunt, who failed to
qualify.

May 21, 1877.—Wm. I. Crapster, Justice of the Peace for
4th district vice Geo. F. Kinsey, deceased.

Nov. 14, 1877.—William Davis of G., Justice of the Peace
for 2d district vice Geo. R. Shane, deceased.

Dec. 22, 1877.—Anthony M. Johnson, Chief Judge of the
Orphans' Court vice Dye W. Worthing-
ton, resigned.

On motion by Mr. Gorman,

The aforegoing nominations were referred to the Commit-
tee on Executive Nominations.
