The following communications, which had been received
from His Excellency, Governor Carroll, by the hands of
Hon. Eichard C. Hollyday, Secretary of State, were read :

ments of State Officers made during the recess of the Legis-
lature.

JOHN LEE CARROLL.

May 6, 1876.—Francis G. King, Manager of Maryland In-
sane Hospital; for two years.

May 6, 1876.—Henry F. Thompson, Manager of Maryland
Insane Hospital, for two years.

May 6, 1876.—Charles W. Chancellor; Manager of Mary-
land Insane Hospital, for two years.

May 6, 1876.—Francis White, Manager of Maryland Insane
Hospital, for four years.

May 6, 1876.—John McCoy, Manager of Maryland Insane
Hospital, for four years.

May 6, 1876.—Henry Fernandis, Manager of Maryland In-
sane Hospital, for four years.

May 6, 1876.—A. W. Bradford, Manager of Maryland In-
sane Hospital, for six years.

May 6, 1876.—L. M. Brown, Manager of Maryland Insane
